YUM! Restaurants International
(Includes: Pizza Hut, KFC, Taco Bell)

We have a long association with YUM starting with Pizza Hut at their Pymble office when they were part of the Pepsico Group. Our primary focus was on AS/400 system development and maintenance. More recently we have been involved with their Data Warehousing and BI (Business Intelligence) projects.
Automated AS/400 backups
All they do is load the tapes. The system then starts at the designated time, checks to see if no production batch jobs are active (it will wait for them to complete), does the backup, logs details for future reference and re-starts the system afterwards.
XCOM banking Module
Manages payments and bank generated reporting for Payroll (10,000+ employees) as well as PPS (Accounts Payable). Basic functions include: send payments to bank, generate a lodgement and trigger the processing, then receive reports (some time later). These can be optionally printed or filed online.
Data Warehousing and BI projects
This has been a widespread project including many data extracts from AS/400 (RPG ILE etc), Excel spread sheets (macros and VBA) and SQL server databases (SQL, ETL, and data conversion wizard).

Royal Doulton Australia

Again we have a long association with Royal Doulton, starting with their migration from IMAS V2.3 to V3.1 and followed by many enhancements to their AS/400 systems, integration of an outsourced warehousing system, implementation of POS at their warehouse shops and the integration with IMAS.
IMAS conversion
Royal Doulton have a heavily modified version of IMAS and therefore the task was quite demanding but very rewarding.
Point of Sale system

Implementation of TDC's Shopkeeper Plus on the Head Office server and PCs at several remote shops. IMAS items, stocks and prices are downloaded to the system and daily sales from each shop are uploaded to IMAS in a seamless process.
IMAS Consignment Stock stocktaking system
Developement and implementation of a stocktaking system to interface with a number of Opticon handheld barcode scanners to IMAS on the AS/400, resulting in a vast improvement on turnaround at the 70 plus consignment shops (eg David Jones). Increasing stock accuracy and reducing the overall time to a fraction of what it takes using the standard manual method.

Actionware
(Marketing database)
Various interfaces developed to improve the functionality of this valuable data resource. Notably a completely automated (batch) de-duping module that combines data from any duplicates into one, resulting in a clean database without loss of information.
Tom Green
Leichhardt NSW
A printing industry supplier of: Laminating supplies & equipment, laminating services, printers' supplies & service, varnishing and finishing of magazine covers, book covers, wall maps etc including the latest techniques in "spot uv".
System upgrade
August 2005, upgrade to a newer AS/400 (mod 270), migrated IMAS (V3.1) with all it's extensions, all users, devices (including laser printer), converted most Terminals to PCs running Windows XP. The upgrade also included connecting all users , via a Firewall router, to the internet.
Custom Quoting system
Originally quoting was done on a PC using a mix of Access and Excel. Even though this was working it was slow and required extensive user knowledge to make it work. A few years ago (prior to the upgrade) a custom quoting system was developed which drastically reduced the time to quote and even better relatively new employees were able to start quoting almost immediately.
Emailing Quotes
After the upgrade was complete the plan was to email quotes rather than fax them. To achieve this the Quoting system was extened to produce an Adobe PDF format file which was then automatically attached to an email (Microsoft Outlook) ready to be sent to the client.
Crocker
(now - REWARD Distribution)

Like at Royal Doulton and YUM we have had a long association with Crocker converting IMAS 2.3 to 3.1, modifying their on demand faxing of invoices, implementing POS and general support. However, now that they have moved their main operation off the AS/400, our involvement is reduced and we now primarily support their POS system and warehouse label printing.
Credit Note Authorisation
This seemingly small modification to IMAS actually improved their management of returns, which were almost out of control, dramatically. It required an additional status "credit pending" without affecting stock until it was actually booked in!
Point of Sale system
Again an implementation of TDC’s Shopkeeper Plus, however in this case it is a standalone system all on the one PC at their hospitality shop.

Hawkesbury High School

We have an association with Hawkesbury High School through the University of Western Sydney (UWS) work experience program for final year students in IT support. This went so well we were invited back on a contract basis.
Website
Our first project for Hawkesbury High School was the development of their school website. You can see an example of our work (kept on our server) by visiting our
