The fact is undeniable, our roots lie with IBM midrange systems and even go back as far as the IBM System/32. We offer programming and support on AS/400 (now known as iSeries). Custom system design and programming there of, and maintenance programming.

Our rates are quite moderate and usually well below what most IT businesses charge. Our clients are usually quite pleased with our results and we have been told "...worth every penny...". We also make an allowance for new clients so we can familiarise ourselves with their business.

Brief: Migrate all applications currently on an ageing AS/400 model to a maxed out 270. A second hand system was chosen, delivered to the Sydney premises (from Brisbane) and inside a week - everything has migrated and live -. The owners were astounded, this was their 3rd system upgrade over a 10 year period and the first to go without a hitch.

In addition: e-mail, ADSL broadband, the ability to e-mail quotes, supply and install of new PCs were all completed in the following weeks.

All in all virtually a complete overhaul of their IT systems.

Extensive knowledge and experience of this well known AS/400 package means we can maintain, customise and add features with great confidence. We have undertaken various conversions from older versions to 3.1, addition of functionality to do direct marketing with payments on instalment, integration with outsourced warehouse system, interfacing with POS systems, interfacing with marketing database, development of a credit authorisation module and many more.

Completely developed (by us) to run on the AS/400, this system automatically sets up day ends, daily and weekly backups, monitors for errors (qsysopr message queue and application logs) and sends a pager message when an error has occurred. One concession to "completely developed" was made by utilising the ROBOT pager module.

Note: we are currenlty developing a monitor which will be sending SMS messages.

Conversion of an IMAS system to BPCS/400 included data conversion and merging with existing BPCS data, special functions migration to BPCS and BPCS security modifications and enhansments. Various other enhancements including CEMTEX banking interface for Vendor payments, COLD (Computer Output on Laser Disk) interface and many more.

XCOM derives it name from the CA Communications package that deals with the actual data transmission portion. This module adds Management to the package to handle multiple payment files per day for multiple companies across Direct Entry payments (eg Payroll) and Prescribed Payment System (eg Accounts payable with payment advice). It also Includes storing online and managing of the transaction reports returned by the bank (Westpac).
